I don’t do a lot of drumshows, but I couldn’t resist this one.

 

After recently purchasing the fine Not So Modern Drummer publication, drummer, retailer and impresario George Lawrence has resurrected the Southern Drum Show and is incorporating the long-dormant Snare Drum Olympics into it. Another cool feature of this event is that the summer NAMM show is happening on the same weekend, just down the street. There should be lots of friends in town and plenty of great drums and drummers to check out.

 

I have a couple of cool surprises cooking for this one, so if you happen to be in the area, please come and see the show at Soundcheck Studios in Nashville on July 18th and 19th and say Hello!
